Artist's Block.

Have you ever not been able to draw, for absolutely no reason at all? Even though you know you can draw, you just can't seem to get any of it right?

Well, I have reason.

I blame my comic. See, for the holidays, I worked with my friend to make a Pokemon comic for my guild. We didn't get to finish it while we were at school, so I finished it here in Las Vegas where I am for the holidays.

But see, I was stupid and didn't get to finishing it until the night before I ended up posting it. I had the sketches done, but I had to darken the lines, and of course the last bit was rushed (*sigh*).

But I spent hours darkening in the lines, which ended up making my hand go numb. That was before New Years.

And still, I'm sucking at drawing. .___. It's depressing because I have absolutely nothing else to do while my mom works and my sister is at school. Because I don't have a liscense (or a car for that matter), I'm stuck here. And even if I knew how to drive, I have a horrible sense of direction so I wouldn't be able to go anywhere if I wanted to without getting lost. And THEN, who would want to go and do stuff by themselves?

I don't have any friends out here, because I have no real means of making any friends here. I don't go to school here, and I don't socialize with anyone here... so I'm kinda stuck at home all day.

So I want to draw. But I can't. 'cause I suck.

I think the real reason I can't draw anything is because I have nothing to encourage me to draw. Looking through my manga always inspires me to draw more, but it's all back at my dorm. Plus my roommate is across the country, and we always talk to each other and share our work with each other.

*sigh* I miss UMBC so much. It's amazing what living on campus can do, you know? I miss my other friends too; we always go to lunch together and stay up late and watch TV and movies and stuff. x3

But I miss my sister and my roommate probably the most.

I'm excited though; when I get back, I'm taking two Art History classes, two art studio classes, and a japanese language course. Oh the joy in learning (and actually doing SOMETHING). x33

But hey, it's not all complaints. I'm going to SeaWorld tomorrow. In San Diego. :33 My mom sells timeshares now or something, so we get to go for a really good price. Maybe it'll inspire me to draw, though I don't really know why going to SeaWorld would do that. xD
